Serious bass from Velodyne

People who know me or have been in my living room know that I love good sound. Unfortunately, I'm not Bill Gates and can't afford to buy $100,000 worth of sound hardware to turn my living room into a glorified theatre, but I do what I can within my means.

Every now and then however, an A/V product comes around that really makes me drool with envy. The Velodyne 1812 is one such beast, shown to the right (photo by Audioholics):

That's Velodyne's DD 1812 ... 12" and 18" drivers, digitally monitored and controlled to prevent noise or reverb, built-in range EQ with manual or auto-calibration, video out (to see the EQ performance on a TV) and named after the overture that could most use a sub.

Luckily for my neighbours, its several thousand dollars more than I'm willing to spend.
