The Liberal-NDP coalition wanted us to let Dion govern our country one day, and within 72 hours plot his demise. During a conference call today, it would seem the party heads are discussing how to replace him sooner than later.
Ignatieff, the one Liberal leadership hopeful I have respect for wants to wait for a proper leadership convention and focus on the Liberal party, not a coalition.
One CBC correspondent pointed out the irony that the NDP, our most socialist party, wants the government to do what Bush, leader of the most right-wing party across the border is doing. I'm confused; I thought Harper was Bush Jr. according to these people, now he's not Bush-like enough? Which is it?
I'm pretty sure the problem here lies in the Liberals' failure to grasp why Canadians didn't vote for them, much like how the NDP keeps believing they can win federal elections. Come up with a better platform, get some integrity, stand for something substantial and actually do what you say you'll do. I don't recall any of the 10 years of 90's Liberal governance that revolved around doing what they'd promised in the Red Book and yet Harper with a minority government has managed to actually make things happen and follow through on many of his election promises.

Stumble It!
