Like most guys, I've always enjoyed going out for wings. Wings are good finger food; filling, and flavourful. They're also a great social food and good for the old macho "how hot can you go?" type contests as well. I spent a lot of my evenings out in college going for wings with friends. I think I ate more wings than pizza even (with Subway being a close third).
It turns out I knew nothing about wings. I know this now, because I've been introduced to Wild Wing. Several years ago I was at a customer's site and they brought me to a Wild Wing restaurant and told me to try some 'Thai Domi' wings. That or 'Canadian'. 'Thai Domi' is a very tasty combination of thai spices and a honey garlic sauce. 'Canadian' was (at the time) a strangely delicious combination of hot sauce amd honey garlic with teriyaki drizzled over top.
Wild Wing offers over 101 flavours of wings (and a dozen flavours of fries too), including some of my new favourites like "Country Girl" (Thai with Pineapple Curry), and "Barbie on the Dill" (BBQ sauce and Buttermilk Dill). Some may seem strange at first glance (like Hot Chocolate) but most are very tasty (I haven't tried them all yet) and very addictive too.
Since being introduced, I soon brought my wife who although originally very suspicious of going out to eat at a 'wings' establishement is now quite addicted to "Snake Bite" (Hot sauce with honey mustard). We've since introduced several friends and other couples who are equally addicted at this point. You should know, I was not payed by Wild Wing in any way for this plug -- but I am having some tonight and trying to decide between "Hot Senorita" or maybe "Smoke That Jerk". If you do decide to try out a Wild Wing yourself, be warned, you may never eat wings anywhere else again.
Update: The wings were delicious. I ordered myself two new flavours to try including a hot mustard covered with garlic Parmesan and a extra hot glazed with teriyaki sauce. Both were quite yummy.
Disclaimer: Trademarks are of their respective owners, probably Wild Wing or their owners. The word Barbie is not a reference to a toy by Mattel, but a quote from the menu of the aforementioned restaurant. Please don't sue me.
